Feist--I feel it all
She's leading the Canadian charge at the Grammy's this year, with an on stage performance planned to go along with her four nominations, to go with that showcase appearance she has just been nominated for four awards at the upcoming Indie music awards.
On Tuesday, it's expected that she'll be showing up on the nomination list for Canada's Juno Awards, the highlight of the Canadian musical scene which will let her show her stuff on stage in her former stomping grounds of Calgary.
All in all a pretty good start to a new year for Feist, the Amhert, Nova Scotia born musician who is making her mark in the music world these days. Having moved forward in her solo career, she also is a featured member of Toronto's Broken Social Scene an amalgam of many of Canada's up and coming indie talent.
She started with her solo recordings back in 1999 and found much success with last years The Reminder, her fourth solo effort. From 2000 to 2005 she was part of Broken Social Scenes four musical offerings as well.
Probably best known now for her huge hit last year of 1234, she has followed it up with "I feel it all", tonight's selection on the Music Club.
It certainly seems like she is set to make that next big jump in Canadian music, with those four Grammy Award nominations serving as her introduction to the US market. Her Grammy nominations are in the categories of Best Female Pop Vocal, Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Short Form Music Video.
All valuable exposure that will have the music industry talking about her for much of the rest of 2008
