While the weather may not provide the most helpful of settings, the 100th anniversary of the City will be celebrated in fine style this Seafest weekend.
Prince Rupert's annual June celebration has already had its first events with Thursday's family show at the Civic Centre and the rest of the Seafest calendar is filled with activities most of which will be centred in the downtown area on Saturday and the waterfront on Sunday.
Saturday's parade should be quite the event as the city's 100th birthday is celebrated by participants from near and far.
The Special Events Society website provides a thumbnail sketch of some of the key events of this years celebration, the 32nd edition of the June festival which had its start back in 1978.
The full list of Seafest activities from the Special Events brochure can be downloaded here.
It's your guide to this weekends full slate of activities.
Bring a raincoat and umbrella and enjoy Seafest 2010, celebrating the city's 100th birthday!
