Monday evening provided another opportunity for Prince Rupert's elected officials (or almost all of them) to gather in session to discuss those concerns for our city's governance for the month of July.
Among some of their topics for debate were the seeking of approval for the annual report, the question of vote counting machines and a setting of the table for discussion once again of Atlin Terminals parking situation, a topic which will figure prominently at the next council meeting on July 27th.
.
An attendance check on the night finds that Mayor Mussallem was not at the Monday session, the fourth one this year that he has been absent for, making him a non participant in four of thirteen meetings thus far in the council year.
The evening also featured another of the growing in frequency closed meetings that council seems to have now before every regularly scheduled public meeting. A now common occurrence that seems to raise the public's interest from time to time.
