The Northern View has the first report of a fire in the Ocean Centre Mall on Monday afternoon, a short but concise piece reporting on the fire that broke out at around 2:30 in the afternoon.
The Ocean Centre was evacuated as a precaution as smoke had wafted through the building and was noticeable on the Third Avenue side in particular. Prince Rupert Fire Rescue was on the scene until about 3:15 on Monday.
The Northern View while not part of the Ocean Centre complex is literally within a few metres of the building making it rather easy for some on the spot news coverage.
