Breaking down the vote at the October 27 council meeting

The Daily News returns to their scorecard format of key items on the agenda at Prince Rupert City council, providing a voting list of how the Mayor and councilors voted (or in some cases did not vote).

With the sessions dwindling for the current roster of councilors, it will be interesting to see how those that are seeking another term present their case for re-election. But before we get to the counting of the electoral votes, we’ll review how the councilors cast their vote on the agenda items from the October 27thd session.

Question 1

That council consider amending the current policy which limits the initial number of First Responders deployed on medical calls and permit all on-duty firefighters (usually three or four) to respond to medical emergencies as deemed appropriate by the Fire Office in charge.
