Fresh from his appearance as a CNN hologram, one of the key peas of the Black Eyed Peas pod, has penned and put together his video salute to the election victory of Barack Obama.
It makes for a companion piece to his election campaign video, Yes We Can, which motivated the Obama supporters through the primary season and on to the General election just completed.
Using quick edits of past historical figures intermixed with images of President elect Obama’s massive victory rally in Chicago’s Grant Park, the video sums up the path that has been travelled during this most historic of American elections. He debuted that video on that most iconic of American television programs the Oprah Winfrey Show.
With a catchy riff throughout, and lyrical content that retraces the darkest of days giving way to the New Day. From Lincoln to Obama, the path has been long but for will.i.am it’s one that has long been anticipated and now celebrated.
