First to the pump, first to your wallet Monday, May 14 edition

Less than a week has gone by and Petro Can has once again raced to the front of the line to raise the cost locally for gas, first to the scoreboard on a Monday afternoon at 121.9.

Still holding down the fort as of 3 pm, with (ahem) affordable gasoline were:

Esso 118.9
Chevron 118.9
Husky 118.9
RaceTrac 118.9

Just for fun, remember there is always the Candian Centre for Policy Alternatives and their handy little converter for us, a "gouge gauge" if you will, which allows the motorist to check in and see just how much "extra" the gas stations may be taking.

The closest centre to us for comparison would be Prince George where the price today had jumped up to 124.9 a litre (making for an 11 cent a litre jump or 50 cent a gallon increase in less than a week) which only makes us wonder what the price will by the time the long weekend arrives!.
