A Kiss is just a kiss, but...

It's good riddance to bad kissing in India as the locals are looking to be rid of Richard Gere, after his over the top embrace of Indian actress Shilpa Shetty.

The hottest attraction in Bollywood Shetty and Hollywood's ancient warrior Gere, were appearing at an Aids awareness function when Gere embraced the Bollyood Queen and reprised a scene from a recent movie of his.

Or so he says anyways.

Regardless, the overt display of affection has apparently caused a fair amount of rage in India where effigies of Gere and Shetty have been burned in the less progressive villages and the scandal has been replayed time and time again on television there.

All this excitement over a little kiss? Sheesh, imagine if they had to sit through a showing of Intersection, perhaps his most panned movie.
