The Blogosphere's Big Night

Sheesh it's like a sweet sixteen birthday party or something, the blogosphere is spending this Election night of the USA to pat itself on the back and celebrate it's newly found power.

The gang on Fox give credit to the bloggers of America for shining their lights on the issues that the mainstream media may have given short shrift to. A nod in the direction of the crowd that seems to be setting the media agenda on Election night.

Over at CNN their having a Blogger Party at a Washington coffee bar, bloggers and policy wonks tripping over each other as they vie for attention from Wolf or Anderson.

Whether all this attention is good for the long term well being of the idea of blogging remains to be seen, after all once you start hanging with those that you've been mocking all this time, one wonders how long it is before you begin pulling your punches.

But for tonight it's full steam ahead, the bloggers empowered and ready to roar. And no doubt drinking on the CNN tab!

CNN has a running blog about the bloggers (which is way too Woody Allenish if you think about it) with links and commentary from the Red and Blue new stars of the new media
