Sometimes it's best not to report crime!

Police in Orem, Utah are still rather surprised at their good fortune, as an investigating officer into a break in, collected a double dip in the arrest stats. Police responded to a call from an eighteen year old who reported a break in at his home and a theft of property that he had hoped to sell the next day.

When the police arrived to investigate, the young man pointed out the broken window, the blood trail and provided a description of the property stolen, that being a quarter pound bag of marijuana that he had hoped to sell to a client the next day.

Turns out the client gave the young entrepreneur some bad vibes and he pegged him as the possible suspect, the police diligent in their work took the address down, tracked the possible suspect to his mothers house. Noticing wounds on his hands and arms similar to those that might be received breaking a window, they began a search of the residence. As it turns out he also had bloody pants and surprise, surprise was in possession of 6 ounces of marijuana.

With the suspect now safely in custody, the Orem police contacted the complainant and had him come down to identify his property. He gladly arrived at the station, took one look at the recovered property and claimed it as his own. As soon as he signed off on the stash, the police arrested him for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone with intent to distribute.

Perhaps he can share a cell with his former client to be, I'm sure they might have many fond memories to share. As the police in Orem put it; "Even the dumb criminals are generally smarter than this"!
