Day two of the Ian Bush Inquiry provides for high emotions

The second day of the inquiry into the death of Ian Bush in Houston, saw the RCMP officer involved in the tragic events of October 29, 2005 provide his testimony to the panel.

Wednesday’s testimony examined the events of that night in Houston from the perspective of Constable Paul Koester, the officer who during the course of what is described as a violent struggle fired the fatal shots that took the life of the 22 year old Houston resident.

Wednesday's testimony brought a few interesting and in some cases surprising bits of information to the public, including details of three seperate drafts of his notes of the incident, with the original outline now destroyed.

The emotion of the inquest has also been described with great detail, providing a sense of the atmosphere of the inquest and how it has gripped the small town in northwestern BC.

There has been a fair amount of coverage of the inquiry thus far, from a variety of sources. We’ll link up some of the key accounts below.
