Premier Campbell gets hands on experience with Vancouver crime

The Premier was whisked away by his security detail on Monday, after a jewellery store near where he was being interviewed was in the process of being robbed by at least two members of Vancouver's criminal data base.

Campbell's RCMP security detail moved him out of the picture as a precaution, after a robbery suspect armed with a gun ran by the interview location apparently on the way to a get away, sort lived as it was.

One suspect, perhaps the one making the cameo at the Premier's presser was arrested in a cab outside the downtown hotel, the other suspect is apparently still on the run, but at least still eligible to vote in the May 12 election..
