City Council Scoresheet for May 11, 2009

The Wednesday, May 13 edition of the Daily News featured their regular scorecard on city council issues, this one featuring the deliberations and votes from selected items of the May 11 session.

Question One: Council approved the 2008 Audited Financial Statements for the City including a letter from the auditor stating the financials were in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures .

The first one is for $733,333.34 that would go toward the devlopment of Duncan Road, including a pump station, force main and sanitary service connections. the second one is for $533,333.32 to go toward the expansion of the landfill.

**Regarding question five: The Daily News identifies the tax increase as 8.4%, though if memory serves correct the original plan was for a 3.8 percent increase (see April 27 minutes) they also list Ms. Gordon Payne as opposed to the motion, but in their voting grid had her voting yes for the motion.
