Carole James wants to poke you!

"It really is campaign time now and it's pretty clear that when you look at campaigns and you look at getting information to people, you need to look at every tool that's out there,"—NDP Leader Carole James.

The BC NDP is ready to join the legions of YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and such, as Carole James, leader of British Columbia’s opposition party, makes plans to set up a Facebook page and make more use of the YouTube portal to help get the message across.

This is surely not good news for the multi media portals of the world, when the politicians begin to spam the world with their messages using that newfangled technology. After all when you become part of the establishment, you have to ask yourself if you're really cool anymore.

The NDP viral video marketing campaign is set to begin to coincide with the opening of the legislature for its spring session on Tuesday.

Not sure what all this means, but one gets the feeling that once the politicians start to invade the domain of the world of the netizens with what amounts to viral spam, then perhaps it’s time for the little people to explore something new, something the politicians haven't heard about yet.

It may be time now for the rest of us to move on to the next big thing on the net, whatever that may be and perhaps we'll do the moving without leaving a forwarding address.
