Panic in Podunk!

The gas stations lanes are crammed with customers looking to fill their tanks, occasionally spilling out into the streets. Esso seemingly the only one with nary a customer, mainly due to the fact that they apparently have no gas to sell.

Grocery store shelves are empty of produce and milk (though the snack food shelves were quite full thank you very much, such a healthy lot Podunkians are). And the lineups at the till stretch down the aisles.

In short, the closure of the highway has apparently sent the town into a wee bit of a panic.

This is of course is a bit of a puzzling thing, considering our location on the ocean and the ability of grocery stores and the like to barge up their shipments if the closure is for any length of time.

But never let the obvious get in the way of a good panic we guess.

Regardless, as the fact that the only road link to the outside world has closed begins to sink in the town seems to be rushing around to fill the tanks and the fridge as best they can.

But hey, if worst come to worst Podunkians can fill up on Pringles, theres lots of chips and stuff still on the shelves folks...
