The Mighty Swiss Army has joined the ranks of the Axis of Evil, another overbearing power that over ran a neighbours border and would have sparked an international incident, if only someone had noticed.
The Swiss newspaper Blick, has reported that 170 Swiss army soldiers mistakenly crossed to border into neigbhouring Liechtenstein while on maneuvers, they encroached 1.5 kilometres into the neighbours land, before somebody noticed they had made a wrong turn and sounded the retreat.
Not that anyone would have been aware, there are only 34,000 residents of the country and they have no army. So unless the Swiss troops had stopped at corner store for a map probably their journey into unmarked territory went without observation. Not that they were much of a threat, it’s said that the Swiss carried weapons but no ammunition in the accidental foray across the line.

No doubt there is going to be a refresher course in map reading, if not a few web links for Swiss military personnel and perhaps the Swiss government can commence with war reparation discussions. Just in case Liechtenstein has any second thoughts about the whole incident, after all a short war with a larger power worked wonders for the Duchy of Grand Fenwick.
