Putting aside pontificating pop stars for a moment, in this day and age there really is no excuse for anyone to starve to death or live in abject misery. In Canada we just celebrated our 138th year of community, time to step up and make a difference in the wider world. We are truly blessed in this nation to travel safe streets, live in relative peace, harmony and good health. There are so many that would only wish to be in our shoes, here's a chance to tell those that make the decisions that we'd like to share a bit more.
The Live 8 project may not do much to move the politicians in the end, but at least you come down on the right side of the debate! And a message delivered sometimes does get their attention.
