Are you ready to face the Dragons?

For those with the next great idea, the destination is Prince George as CBC’s Dragon’s Den arrives there next week to seek out eager entrepreneurs looking to seal the deal with television’s big wheels…

The Dragon’s Den, hosted by Dianne Buckner is based on the original British program, but was given a Canadian makeover a couple of years ago. It just wrapped up season number, and already plans are in the works for number three. One of the surprise hits for the network a two years ago, it's now also available online at the CBC site or as an iTunes download.
.
Providing a little bit of must viewing for those that like to research their business plans, looking for past successes and those that weren't quite on their game.

With the success of the program now a key aspect of the CBC’s television line up, the producers are heading west looking for more Canadians with a tale to tell and something to sell. They plan on searching over the Northern BC possibilities on Monday from 11 am to 7 pm at the Prince George Civic Centre; successful applicants will receive 500 dollars and an invitation to Toronto to pitch their plans to the Dragons on a Toronto television stage.

Of the 150 applicants across Canada last year that were given a second audition, a little bit more than half actually made it on to the television show to dazzle the dragons.

Of course, finance like bureaucracy loves paperwork, so before you load up the car and hit the road, download your application form from the CBC, only those that have filled out a completed application form will be up for consideration.

Of course, there should be struggle with every venture we suppose, we checked over the Dragon's Den site and couldn't find a link to an on line form, though we did discover some helpful tips should you find the magic web spot where the applications are.

Perhaps your invention will be a seamless website interface that links venture capital seekers with the capitalists themselves.. it seems to be a creation that might have a market.

Until you find the form, or head out to PG on spec, here from the The Prince George Citizen, is a bit of background information on how you could be the next big thing.
