Just in time for weekend driving

Petro Can was the first to crack the $1.30 barrier, posting their price for gas this morning at $1.32 a litre so far, the remainder of the local gas stations have held their line at $1.29.

It will be interesting to see how long before the remaining stations play catch up and how many people fill up at Petro Can while they pull in the extra three cents a litre.

Just in time for weekend driving

The rolling silver reservoirs were wandering the streets of Podunk today, delivering to the city's gas stations the sustenance of cross town and out of town travel.

Once the hoses were lifted, so were the prices for the most part with three stations locally increasing their price at the pump while two held to their pricing from earlier in the day.

As you prepare to fill up the infernal motorized chariot, here's the pricing list as of 9 pm tonight..

Husky $1.26.9

Petro Canada $1.28.9

Chevron $1.29.9

Esso $1.29.9

Race Track Gas $1.29.9

And to think that the busy driving season isn't even here yet!

Up go the gas prices, again!

With only a week to go until Spring break, the price of getting from here to there is about to go up.

Petro Can once again is the first to the pricing ladder, upping the price of a litre of gas to 1.15, while the remainder of the stations in the downtown area still have 1.12 posted on their boards.

The new price was posted in time for the morning drive into town from the east end, fill em up if you've got them...
