Keep your eye on the skies and your hand on your iPod

Another warning for iPod users to make note of, if the sky suddenly clouds over and the lightning bolts start to flash, it’s time to take off your iPod ear buds.

A Colorado teenager was mowing the lawn when out of the blue, a bolt of lightning struck using the iPod ear buds as a conduit and sent charges of electricity coursing through the unfortunate teens body.

The teen was transported to a Denver area hospital, suffering from burns, a ruptured ear drum and a number of scars.

The incident comes on the heels of a report from the British Medical Journal that exposed the dangers of cell phone and iPod usage during electrical storms. The British Study keyed in on a London teenager who was hit while using her cell phone in a London park.

It sure gives a whole new meaning to the AC/DC tune thunderstruck!
